Handmade Red Cedar Indoor Traditional Sauna with 9 kW Electric Heater

A handmade traditional sauna built in red cedar for indoor use. It is heated by a 9 kW electric heater, and the listing includes all accessories, so it suits someone who wants a complete, hand-built cedar room rather than a kit-style cabin.

Traditional saunas heat the air with an electric heater and stones. You control the humidity yourself by ladling water on the rocks, which gives the soft, enveloping löyly that many sauna lovers prefer.

In a traditional sauna, you switch the heater on, give the stones time to heat through, then sit on the upper bench where it is warmest. A ladle of water on the rocks lifts the humidity for a soft wave of löyly; skip it for a drier session. Cool down between rounds with fresh air or a shower.

Wooden accessories such as a bucket, ladle, thermometer and headrest make the room feel complete, and a sauna hat keeps your head more comfortable in the heat.
