Traditional models

The traditional saunas use an electric stove and stones. The Kuusamo lists an 8.0 kW Harvia stove with built-in controls and a range of 175–190°F. The Drammen and Savonlinna use an 8 kW stove on a 240V, 40-amp dedicated circuit, with lights and audio on a separate 120V, 15-amp circuit. See traditional saunas.

Hybrid models

Hybrids pair a stove with infrared panels. The Gargellen's Harvia 8 kW stove gives 170–185°F. Its infrared mode, with four far infrared carbon panels and six near infrared elements, runs at 118–132°F. The modes do not run at the same time. The Karlstad needs a 240V, 40-amp hardwired connection for both systems.

Infrared models

The large infrared rooms seat six to eight and are listed as near zero EMF. The Catalonia GDI-6880-02 needs a 240V, 30-amp dedicated circuit. Compare with full spectrum infrared saunas and infrared saunas.

Before you order

Most Golden Designs saunas need an electrician for the circuit, and outdoor models need a level base. Large saunas ship freight. Most orders ship within 1–4 business days. Read infrared vs traditional saunas and use the sauna heater size calculator to compare.
