How to choose
- Cubist ($15,080): a modern outdoor room in thermally modified spruce with no exposed fasteners, a 9 kW heater, a wall touchscreen and dimmable LED backrest lighting.
- Barrel Haus ($16,360): a Bavarian-inspired 6-person barrel with full-front glass in black trim, supplied as a kit. The barrel shape keeps interior volume compact.
- Indo ($20,580): the indoor choice, a complete sauna room with a full-glass front, heater and control, touchscreen, and a wooden pail, ladle and thermometer.
- Indoor or outdoor: the Cubist and Barrel Haus are for the yard; the Indo suits a finished basement, primary bath suite or home spa.
- Modern vs classic look: the Cubist has clean lines and a glass front door with chrome hinges; the Barrel Haus has the familiar round barrel shape with a glass-framed door and wood push-pull handle.
- Controls: the Cubist and Indo both have a wall-mounted touchscreen for on/off, fan, temperature and lighting. The Cubist adds LED backrest up-lighting with a dimmable remote.
- What's in the box: the Cubist includes the room, benches, flooring, 9 kW heater, stones, touchscreen and lighting. The Indo includes heater and control, stones, touchscreen and a wooden pail, ladle and thermometer. The Barrel Haus kit includes 50 lb of stones.
Using a traditional sauna is simple: let the heater bring the stones fully up to heat, sit on the upper bench where it is warmest, and ladle water on the stones for löyly. Cool off between rounds outside or under a shower.
Before you buy
- Power: the Cubist heater is 9 kW, 240V single phase on a dedicated circuit. Heater ratings for the Barrel Haus and Indo are not listed; electric sauna heaters are typically hardwired, so involve a licensed electrician early.
- Space: room dimensions are not listed in detail on our pages, so confirm the footprint before ordering.
- Base: the outdoor models need a flat, level, well-drained foundation.
- Assembly: the Barrel Haus is a kit for on-site assembly, and the Cubist ships freight in a large crate. Check the delivery route, including clearance for the Indo's glass front.
- Site planning: place an outdoor model close to a path or patio so the walk is short in cold or wet weather.
- Care: leave the door open after a session so the room dries, and wipe the glass with a soft cloth.
