Golden Designs GDI-6996-01 Elite 6-Person Far Infrared Sauna, Near Zero EMF

The Golden Designs GDI-6996-01 Elite is a six-person far infrared sauna listed as near zero EMF. It is sized for families, households that like to sauna together, or anyone who wants to stretch out on a long bench.

Like all infrared saunas it heats with panels rather than a stove and stones, so there is no water to pour and no rocks to warm up.

Full dimensions and electrical details are not listed on this page. Confirm them before ordering so you can plan the room and the circuit.

Features

• Room for up to 6 people
• Far infrared panel heating, no stove or stones
• Listed as near zero EMF
• Elite version of model GDI-6996-01

Far infrared panels warm you with radiant heat instead of heating the air to very high temperatures, so the cabin runs cooler than a traditional sauna while still feeling deeply warm. There is no water, stones or steam to manage, sessions start with little warm-up, and the dry heat suits people who find a hot Finnish sauna too intense. If you are still deciding between heat types, our guide to infrared vs traditional saunas walks through the differences.

Before you buy

• A six-person cabin takes real floor space. Confirm the exterior footprint against your room before ordering.
• Large infrared saunas often need a dedicated circuit; check the electrical requirement and have an electrician confirm your panel.
• Plan the delivery route: measure doorways, hallways and stairs.
• Assembly is typically a two-person job, and it needs a flat, level floor.

Care

Wipe benches and walls with a soft, dry cloth after use and leave the door open briefly so the cabin airs out.
