About the Medical Saunas line
Medical Saunas is the brand name of this range of home saunas. The name does not mean the saunas are medical devices, and we make no health claims for them. They are indoor home saunas, sold in two families: Medical models, which are infrared, and Traditional models, which use a 4,500 W heater.

Medical infrared models
The Medical 3, 4 and 6 Plus are full spectrum infrared saunas. The Medical 5 is listed as infrared with nine heaters. Wattage rises with size, from 1,450 W for the one-person Medical 3 to 2,250 W for the Medical 6 Plus. Interior height runs from 66.5 in on the Medical 3 to 69 in on the Medical 4 and 5. Compare the wider range in full spectrum infrared saunas.
Traditional models
The Traditional 5, 6 and 7 are listed as home steam saunas, each with a 4,500 W rating. They are heavy: 405 to 460 lb. If you want a heater-and-stones sauna, see traditional saunas and our guide to dry vs wet saunas.
Choosing a size
Measure the room, then add space around the cabin for the door and airflow. The one-person Medical 3 is the smallest footprint here. The Medical 6 Plus is rated for four to six people. For couples, compare the Medical 4 with other 2 person saunas; for groups, see 4 person saunas. Confirm the electrical supply each model needs with an electrician. Most orders ship within 1–4 business days.
